On October 11 2018 at 19:45 at the Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri in Pristina in the forthcoming match of the third game week of the UEFA Nations League the local Kosovo are going to play against their guests Malta.
Kosovo were considered to be the outsiders of the group and yet there were no actual reasons for that. Yet, at the moment after two games already played they are on the first place in the standings without losing a single match at all. In the first match they met Azerbaijan away from home without scoring any goals. In that game the players were really solid in defense which let them keep the goal clear. After that they hosted Faroe Islands where they were obviously much stronger and won the game with 2:0 score. To be fair we must admit that none of their competitors were very strong and yet that’s the actual feature of the competition.
As for Malta, they are the outsiders of the Group D as they haven’t won a single match. In the first round they played against Faroe Islands and lost with the big score for such a national team 1:3. This game proved that the team isn’t ready for any difficult challenges. Before that they haven’t won for five matches in a row.
These national teams have never met each other in their history and that’s why it’s rather difficult to understand who are going to win this time. Of course, Kosovo are the favorites of the upcoming match as they are playing at home and they seem to have a little bit better squad and to be in much better mood. That’s why we think that the hosts are much more likely to win and to do it with a convincing score.
