Klopp started rotation of players0
Liverpool head coach spoke about his capabilities and the need for rotation in the Merseysidera matches.
Ahead of his departure for the Club World Cup, Jürgen Klopp shared the importance of rotation in his team’s game. In recent matches, the German has been increasingly resorting to a change in the starting lineup, regardless of the readiness of the players.
Currently, Clyne, Matip and Fabinho are in Liverpool's infirmary. If the Merseysiders have learned to play without the former, then Matip and Fabinho were the main pivots in defense in the last triumphant season of the Champions League. By and large, due to the lack of the former, Liverpool missed in every match since October and only the match with Bournemouth allowed to interrupt the unsuccessful series (0:3).
In the match with Everton, Klopp put Salah and Firmino on the bench, and Sadio Mane was not in the line-up against Bournemouth. In both cases, the Reds won with a difference of three goals, which cannot but rejoice the coach,
“We put up a very good line-up against Everton, and I had no doubt in the skill of the players who entered the pitch. If someone does not play constantly, it is difficult to imagine how it will be in terms of moment and rhythm. And I was sure of their shape, because the guys train a lot and know the system.
We had to conduct a rotation, because we have a very busy schedule. I was very pleased with the way the guys showed themselves. But it's always hard to play on Wednesday and Saturday.”
On December 18th already, Liverpool will hold the first match at the Club World Cup. The German took the battle roster there, leaving reserves who managed to get through the Arsenal at the round of 16 of the League Cup for the cup match against Aston Villa.
Given the fact that Liverpool without any difficulties continue to lead the championship and stamp victories one after another, the Merseysiders must cope with a flurry of matches in the Boxing Day if there will be no catastrophic number of injuries. Moreover, Fabinho and Matip are at the recovery stage and will soon help the team in the fight for champion medals.
