Real find surprising replacement for Benzema0
Real Madrid have signed one of the best forwards this season in top five leagues of Europe, according to the information of the local newspaper As.
Despite a good shape of Karim Benzema, who after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure tried on the role of the best goalscorer in the team, Los Blancos have strengthened the attacking positions with Luka Jovic from the German Eitrnacht. According to the information of the local newspapers, the contract with the Serbian is designed for six years and the Spanish giant will spend on the footballer’s transfer 50 million euros in total.
One fifth of the total sum of 60 million, 12 million euros to be exact, will go to the footballer’s ex-club, Benfica, and the rest to Eintracht, which this season together with Jovic are occupying the fourth place in Bundesliga and also advanced to the Europa League semi-final. The Eagles had a draw with Chelsea (1:1) in the first match at their stadium and the Serbian scored a goal.
Jovic has 42 played matches this season in total, in which he scored 26 goals, and also made seven assists in all tournaments. Last season the footballer won the German Cup together with Eagles, having defeated Bayern Munich in the final.
Jovic convinced Eintracht fans for the whole season that he has no intention to leave and will do his best to help the club in the Champions League, where the Eagles are aspiring to get by the results of the season. Adi Hutter’s team plays by formation with three central defenders, five halfbacks and two forwards, which in many ways reminds the playing style of Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. Whereas the Austrian manager’s side is not known for its security in defense and gets the points mostly due to offense with Jovic and Rebic.
It is difficult to predict, how fast the 21-year old forward’s adaptation at Santiago Bernabeu will go, but the fact that Zidane understands the approach of the end Benzema’s presence in the team is a good indicator for Los Blancos' fans.
