PSG and Barcelona are conducting negotiations on Neymar0
PSG have finally agreed on negotiations with Barcelona because of Neymar’s lack of desire to return to Paris after Copa America.
Neymar came to PSG in the summer of 2017. The news blew up the football world, including transfer policy. After two seasons for the French club and victories in domestic tournaments, due to lack of competition, the Brazilian stopped progressing and was constantly subject to injuries.
Instead of the desired Ballon D’Or and a victory in the Champions League with two teams, Neymar twice missed the play-off of the most prestigious club tournament in Europe and is now missing Copa America play-offs. The player himself understands that he made a mistake and accepted the first offer from the Catalan club, as Diario Sport assures. Neymar went on salary cut from 37 to 24 million euros and also will sign a contract with the Catalans for five years. Also, the Brazilian dropped the charges with the club for the unpaid bonus of 26 million and refused to Real Madrid, which offered more favorable conditions. After Copa America, Neymar will be obliged to officially declare that he wants to return to Barcelona, which has become one of the conditions of the Catalan club.
Now the most difficult part of the transfer began – the negotiations between Barcelona and PSG. The Parisians did not accept the option with 100 million euros of compensation and Philip Coutinho to boot. They want to get Ousmane Dembele instead. Blaugranas were against this decision, but later they accepted this proposal, given that the Frenchman himself did not mind returning to his homeland. The champions of France are going to rent Dembele for the season, and then buy him out without breaking the financial fair play.
Neymar realized his mistake, but he will pay for it with lower salary, lower status and attitude of the fans. However, none of these factors play a big role in modern football. The Brazilian is a millionaire for a long time, Messi will soon retire, and the fans ... Fans will buy his T-shirts again and believe in all the promises, like during a pre-election race. Football organizations constantly insist that there is no place for politics in football, but football has long become politics in every sense.
